Make Your Own Cross Pendant – A Two-Hour Jewelry Casting Workshop

Experience the excitement of pouring molten metal and create a cross pendant with the rugged, one-of-a-kind character of traditional sand casting.

Choose from six distinctive cross designs, ranging from simple and primitive to Celtic and Gothic-inspired forms. You’ll press your chosen design into Delft clay, melt your choice of solid copper or sterling silver, and pour the molten metal into the mold yourself.

Once your casting has cooled, you’ll refine, texture, and polish your cross, allowing the natural imperfections and organic character of the casting process to become part of the finished piece.

No two castings will be exactly alike.

Every participant leaves with a completed cross pendant and matching bail, ready to wear on the chain or cord of their choice.

No experience is necessary. Beginners are always welcome.

Select the design that speaks to you. Six original cross styles will be available to choose from at the workshop, each designed specifically to take advantage of the raw, organic character of sand casting.

Copper Cross
Warm, rich, and full of character, copper develops a beautiful natural patina over time and pairs especially well with the rustic texture of sand casting.

A timeless precious metal that can be polished bright while retaining the rugged marks and subtle imperfections that make your casting uniquely yours.

When a class fills up, I list it as SOLD OUT. So unless you see a SOLD OUT notice, there are still seats available.

Yes! A one-time reschedule is available if requested at least 2 days before class, subject to seat availability.

Yes, you can transfer your seat to another person for the same class at no extra charge. Just email their name at least 24 hours before the start time.

Yes, all necessary materials and tools are provided for use during the workshop

No prior experience is necessary; all skill levels are warmly welcomed. I design my workshops so anyone at any skill level can comfortably participate.

Dress comfortably and casual. If you have long hair, consider bringing a hair tie. Bring your glasses/readers if you need them for up close work.
